Elaine has been a resident of Peterborough all her life. After seven years of teaching and eight at home with her two sons, she entered the real estate business and has won top producing sales awards ever since. Now that both sons are married with young families, she enjoys spending time with her little grandchildren.

With 30 years experience in real estate, she particularly enjoys helping seniors with the sale of their family home. On several occasions she has co-ordinated the steps involved in preparing the home for the market. There can be a lot involved particularly if the senior has lived there for 30 plus years! This may include meeting with an auctioneer to appraise household items no longer needed. There may be items that could be picked up by the Salvation Army or other charity. 'Spring cleaning' may be required. There may be yard work to do. Items from the garage or outdoor shed may need to be taken away to a hazardous waste depot or disposal site. Elaine can help by arranging to have these things done. Sometimes there are issues like knob & tube wiring or galvanized plumbing that may require estemates for removal & replacement. Elaine can help arrange those as well.

It is a service that has been greatly appreciated by out of town family members whose parent went to a seniors' residence. It saved them a lot of trips to Peterborough!
